Dr Ranjan Kumar,who has done Ph.D. in Mohan Veena from Delhi University, in the field of Hindustani Music. His early years of learning music started under the guidance of his first Guru Sh Debu Chakraborty, a guitar maestro and Prof. C. L. Das, a sarod maestro. Treading upon the footsteps of his gurus, his craving to learn more was never ending, for which he then became an ardent student of his 3rd guru Prof. Smt. Anupam Mahajan, sitar maestro.
At present , he is the GANDABANDH Senior Disciple of world famous, Grammy Winner PadmaBhushan Pandit VishwaMohan Bhatt..
Dr. Ranjan Kumar is a master Indian slide guitar player who has created his own unique style of playing based on combining the techniques of Hawaiian guitar, sitar, sarode, and the voice. He is from Bihar and currently resides in Delhi where he received his PhD in Hundustani Classical Music from Delhi University under the guidance sitarist Professor Smt. Anupam Mahajan. Before this he received training from sarod maestro CL Das of Patna, Bihar and sitarist Professor Ravi Sharma at Rohtak University, Haryana. His guitar gurus include Shri Debu Chakraborty of Kolkata.
Dr.Ranjan enthralls his audience with 21 strings and three and half octave Mohanveena instrument develop by his Guru Padmabhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

He is also a Author of a Book " Bhartiya Sangeet mein Guitar Vadya " He explained all about the journey of this musical instrument and musicians. Education- He has done Ph.D., M.Phil,M.A, from University of Delhi and cleared U.G.C.NET examination. He received National Scholarship from H.R.D. ministry of New Delhi for two years-1996-1998.
Looking at the twentieth century, we come across that the real development of Instrumental Music in Indian Classical Music done in this century only. The number of new practitioners those came into this century, shows result of human research and development.
One of these new instruments in Indian classical music is the TANTRI INSTRUMENTAL guitar, but it has become popular, but the value that promises to be passed by Indian artists, many changes are being used in Indian classical music.
The Indian Classical Music is being supported by Indian artists as a result of many amendments and changes it has popularised internationally.
There are many types of guitarists like Spanish, The Hawaiian, Electric Guitars etc. The guitar which has been adopted in Indian classical music is the The Hawaiian guitar which is not in its former form but it has many changes and modifications.
The presented book has described in detail the evolution of various ideas used in Indian classical music, the development technique and the effect of other litigants on the guitar.
